The Soft Credits tool allows you to track groups of ambassadors that help you raise money. It is also used to track Lobbyists for the FEC Form 3L.
After adding the tool to your database, when adding a Monetary or Inkind Contribution, you’ll see a section near the bottom to add a Soft Credit. Here is where you’d enter the name of the entity you want to credit for the donation, along with the amount the ambassador is responsible for.
For example, if 2 ambassadors work together, you could add both to the contribution, and then allocate a portion of the contribution to each ambassador.
