Ramp is an expense management system for company cards and bill pay. The Ramp integration brings your Ramp card spend into ISP so you can record it as expenses without entering each one by hand.
How do I add the Ramp integration?
- Go to the Integrations tab and select Add/Remove Integrations.
- Search for Ramp, then click the integration tile to install it on your ISP database.
- You are prompted to log into Ramp. Log in as a Ramp user with admin rights so you can authorize the two systems to share data.
- Once you authorize, you are returned to the Integrations tab, Ramp page, where your transactions load.
Do I need a Ramp account first?
Yes. You need an existing Ramp account before you add the integration in ISP. You can create one from our Ramp page.
Importing Expenses and Splits Using the Ramp Integration
Navigate to Integrations and select Ramp to view the Ramp dashboard.
This screen will display a payment from Ramp and all of the individual split expenses that comprise the payment.
The entry form requires a Reporting Code, Election and Budget Category selection for the parent Expense and each split included. Once the required selections are made, click the Record as Expense w/Splits button at the bottom of the page.
How do I change a payee name before recording a transaction?
When a Ramp transaction comes over with a payee that does not match an entity in your database, the Payee name is an editable field on the Integrations tab, Ramp page. Click the name, type the correct one, and it saves.
- Matched payees: If the payee already matches an entity in your database, the name appears as a link to that record instead of an editable field.
- Your Ramp data: Editing the name in ISP changes only how the payee is recorded in your database. The information in Ramp has not changed.
How do I record a Ramp transaction in my ISP account?
Navigate to the Integrations tab and select Ramp . Record the transaction as an expense. An expense is created in ISP using the payee name shown on the top row, containing splits to each of the following related transactions.
