The FEC Form 3L is filed by authorized committees of federal candidates, political party committees and Leadership PACs that receive certain bundled
contributions from lobbyists/registrants and lobbyist/registrant PACs.
Report Parameters:
- Date Range: Please ensure that your date range lines up with either standard FEC reporting dates or dates that are specific to your report. i.e. Pre-Primary, Post-General, etc
- Current Election: Please select the current election as
appropriate from the drop down - Report Period: The available report periods will appear in the dropdown. Pay close attention when you are selecting the report period, especially when filing reports that also could include Semi-Annual figures (July Quarterly vs July Quarterly and Semi-Annual, Quarterly Filers) or Quarterly vs Monthly reports (Year-End and Semi-Annual, Monthly Filers vs Year-End and Semi-Annual, Quarterly Filers)
- Amended: Check this box if you are filing an amended report.
Select the report you are amending from the Amended Compliance Report
drop down - Change of Address: Please check this box if your address has changed since your last filed report
- Itemize All: If this box is checked, all transactions will be itemized regardless of amount
- All Caps: This will generate your entire report in ALL CAPS
- Sort Order: If you click the dropdown this will give a variety of ways in which you can have your report sorted
- Also Jan-June Semi-Annual: Check this box if this is a pre- or post-election report that ALSO covers the Jan-June Semi-Annual. This will check the box in Sections 5(c) & 6(b), and pull a total in Section 7 (b) Semi-annual Covered Period
- Also July-Dec Semi-Annual: Check this box if this is a pre- or post-election report that ALSO covers the July-Dec Semi-Annual. This will check the box in Sections 5(c) & 6(b), and pull a total in Section 7 (b) Semi-annual Covered Period
- Note: The note block has a character max of 4000 characters. An example of when this could be used is if you need to inform the FEC of best efforts to obtain Occupation/Employer information or of a contribution over the limit that will be refunded on the next report. If you need to send a longer letter to the FEC, please use the FEC Form 99.
