From the dashboard, you’ll work through a few setup steps before you can generate your first compliance report — setting up a filer for your committee, telling ISP which election to report on, and then opening the report form itself. Here’s the quick path:
1. Add Your Filer.
From the dashboard, click the Reports tab and choose Compliance. At the bottom of the Compliance page, click Related Pages, then Manage Filers. On the Manage Filers screen, click the green Add Filer button to launch the Filer Wizard.
2. Add Your Committee.
The wizard walks you through a short series of screens. Start by choosing your filer type, then either search for your committee in agency records (if your jurisdiction supports direct import) or enter your committee details by hand.
3. Add Related Records.
Use Save and Next to move through the remaining screens — contact information, candidate information (if applicable), election, and financial account — until the wizard finishes and your new filer appears on the Manage Filers list.
4. Add Your Election.
Click the Lists tab and choose Elections. Find the election you just attached to your filer, and check the active filer box so it shows up on the reporting screens.
5. Run Your First Report.
Head back to Reports / Compliance, choose the report form you need, set your date range and any other required criteria, and click to generate.
You may not have much data in your account yet. If you have files from a previous vendor, or existing data in spreadsheet or other application format, click here for information on how to get your import started.
State + Federal joint filer? Contact ISP support to enable a second filer on your account, then run the wizard again for the second filer. (How Do I Add Multiple Filers or Change the Existing Filer?)
Stuck, or the wizard isn’t a fit (e.g., not an FEC-registered committee, non-committee filer)? See our Full Guide.
