The Citizens’ Election Program is Connecticut’s voluntary public financing program for candidates for Governor, other statewide offices, and the General Assembly. Participating candidates qualify for a grant by raising qualifying contributions of $5 to $340 from individuals and meeting aggregate thresholds for their office. What does ISP support for the program?
ISP does not have logic specific to the Citizens’ Election Program, such as tracking qualifying contributions or the program’s limits, and we are not able to assist with the grant submission process itself.
However, two tools can help you prepare:
- E-filing your CT Form 30: The grant application package includes an electronically submitted SEEC Form 30 completed no more than three days before you submit your application. See How Do I E-file in Connecticut?
- The Dropbox integration: Grant applications require documentation for each qualifying contribution, including Qualifying Contribution Certification Forms and receipts. Please note that grant applications are submitted by appointment with your Elections Officer, and the application package is submitted in print, so plan time to print and organize your documentation. Contact your SEEC contact for more information.
