How Do I Export Data Out of WinRed and Quick Import It Into ISP?

If you manually import WinRed data via Quick Imports in ISP, capturing and exporting the correct and necessary data in your WinRed account is essential.

In WinRed, you can select from three different data imports. Choose the “Export of Transactions” option to import into ISP.

After choosing Export of Transactions, click the filter icon and filter the data you want to include in your export. We recommend including all data. However, you can choose not to include report disputes or other items.

After you’ve created the desired filter, click Apply Filter, and the page will refresh. Next, click Download. To retrieve the file, navigate to Utilities in your WinRed account and then to Data Export. In the list of generated reports, you should see the one you just created at the top. Click the green Download Ready button to export the data for import into ISP.

What is the difference between the automatic integration and Quick Imports for my WinRed data?

Simply put, the Quick Import tool is often faster to work with when you have large amounts of data. However, the Integration tool allows for real-time information rather than uploading batches regularly. We have a separate help file for installing the WinRed integration.

Quick Import Method

You can use Quick Imports to get your WinRed data in quickly. To install the WinRed Online Donations format, navigate to Tools and choose Quick Imports from the menu. On the Quick Imports page, click the Add New Import Format button on the page’s footer, and select WinRed Online Donations. If this option is not visible, contact Support.

Once installed, select the WinRed option in the Format dropdown. The About section on the right side of the screen will explain which fields on your spreadsheet are required and which are optional.

You’ll also see a checkbox for Import as Conduit – Conduit Check Splits. When checked, this box will create a single transaction from WinRed on the Record Deposit screen with the entities as Splits. Each contribution that makes up that Conduit Check will have dates that match the data file.

The WinRed Quick Import format includes columns for agency fees. If you have Agency and WinRed credit card transaction fees, both are taken out of the check you receive from WinRed. During the import, multiple expenses are automatically added to the Batch Deposit—one for the processing fee and one for each agency’s fee.
