The Combine Duplicates page allows you to view potential duplicates in your database using various search criteria. You can then determine whether you want to combine them, as well as customize what data is merged, or determine if the two records listed are not duplicates. 

Under the Tools tab, select Combine Duplicates. To start, choose which method you’re going to use to find potential duplicates. Your method sets the way the system looks for record matches. 

The Register

The Register is a chronological list of financial transactions and running bank balance total. Here you can track incoming and outgoing transactions, as well as perform various tasks with them. If you have multiple accounts, you can view transactions associated only with that Filer/Account, or view all transactions no matter the Filer/Account. 

Alerts

You can create custom settings for alerts and other automated actions you would like ISP to take care of:

Send Missing Occupation/Employer: ai@ISP will email reportable donors if they are missing their occupation or employer, asking them to reply with that information. When the donor responds, ai@ISP will automatically update their record based on their response. Everyone on the recipient’s list will be forwarded a copy of any emails received and notified about any changes ai made.

Send Alerts: ai@ISP will send you alerts and regular reports.

Depending on your other options, this can include:

• Reminders to file late contribution reports and similar transaction based reports
• Periodic recommendations for new scheduled reports
• Over the limit alerts
• Donor responses to occupation/employer requests and how ai@ISP handled them.

Dropbox & ISP

Once you have set up the reports you want automated, you will start receiving alerts and reports when something is flagged. For example, one such report is the “Missing Attachments Report.” This will tell you which transactions are missing attachments. You can have those easily sent via Dropbox. Safe and secure–the way we like it. 

No Dual Books with ISP: Reconcile & File in One System

The Reconciliation feature in ISP allows you to accurately keep track of your finances outside of ISP and ensure all transactions are financially accounted for and match your actual bank statement.

The overall goal with reconciliation is to get the difference between the starting and ending balances to be $0. That indicates all transactions affecting the actual bank statement have been identified. The system will not allow a reconciliation to be applied until the “Difference” shows $0, at which point the “Reconcile” button will appear at the bottom of the screen. Until then, this button will not show.

Once your accounts are reconciled, you can file your reports right from the ISP app. Choose from a comprehensive list of state and national reports and it will import your data and file the report. Easy peasy. 

Automated Scheduled Reports

One of the best things about ISP is the ability it gives treasurers to automate reports. These are internal reports meant to keep everyone in your campaign on the same page. Once you set up the data you want included and the schedule you want your reports to keep, it will be done automatically. If there is missing information, ai@ISP will alert you so it can be fixed.
