How Do I Set Up and Use the NetFile Integration?

Our integration partners sometimes make updates to their system that we are unaware of. If the steps provided in our help file don’t match what you see, please contact Support and we will update our help file to accurately reflect the correct steps.

The NetFile integration allows treasurers to remain in their comfort zone and still use NetFile to file reports but gives the rest of the staff the ability to use ISP for tools needed to house and work with data found on those reports. Using the integration, data added to NetFile will then port over to ISP so nothing is lost when working with both systems.

In order to set up the NetFile integration, navigate to the System tab, then click Integrations. At the bottom of the resulting screen, click Add Integration and select NetFile (Fundraising Integration) from the drop down menu. You’ll then see three new fields appear: NetFile Account Name, NetFile User Name, and NetFile Password. Add the information you would use to access NetFile and click Add Integration.

Once the integration is set up, the system will automatically create a NetFile organization record in the account with NetFile’s details.

A few things to keep in mind:

1. Agencies that use NetFile to receive compliance reports are not involved in any way with this integration and its process.

2. Only Monetary Contributions and In-Kind Contributions will be integrated over from NetFile.

3. Unlike other integrations found in ISP, all NetFile integrated transactions will be directly imported into the database instead of first appearing in an import queue to be manually imported in.
