The FEC Form 99 Report is used by registered committees needing to submit a letter for the following reasons:
Version Differences
- Debt Settlement Plan: You can upload Debt Settlement Plans and/or FEC Form 8 to the FEC via PDF.
- Disavowal Response: A letter where a candidate disavows unauthorized campaign activity within 30 days after being notified by the agency that another person or group has received contributions or made expenditures of more than $5,000 on the individual’s behalf. See: CFR 100.3(a)(3) and 102.13(a)(2)
- Filing Frequency Change Notice from Monthly to Quarterly: Notification in writing where committees may change their filing schedule from Monthly to Quarterly. This can only be done once per calendar year.
- Filing Frequency Change Notice from Quarterly to Monthly: Notification in writing where committees may change their filing schedule from Quarterly to Monthly. This can only be done once per calendar year.
- Form 3L Filing Frequency Change Notice from Monthly to Quarterly: Notification in writing where committees that file the Form 3L may change their filing schedule from Monthly to Quarterly. This can only be done once per calendar year.
- Form 3L Filing Frequency Change Notice from Quarterly to Monthly: Notification in writing where committees that file the Form 3L may change their filing schedule from quarterly to monthly. This can only be done once per calendar year.
- Loan Agreement: You can upload Loan Agreement documentation as well as loans and lines of credit from lending institutions to the FEC via PDF.
- Loan Forgiveness: You can upload Loan Forgiveness documentation to the FEC via PDF.
- Misc. Report to the FEC: All other correspondence with the FEC. This is the most commonly used version. A Miscellaneous Report may be used for narrative responses that do not affect actual entries within a report (for example, when outlining the committee’s procedures for making “best efforts” to obtain contributor information.)
