How Do I Report Contributions Received via Intermediary (Conduit, Earmark) On the CA Form 497?

Applies To: California

When transactions are received via intermediary/conduit/earmark and need to be filed on the CA 497 24 Hour Report, the data entry must be correct in order for them to appear as they are required on the CA Form 497 report.

First, if you are using it, ensure your integration is set up properly:

ActBlue integration
WinRed integration

On the whole/parent conduit transaction, locate the Tags menu and choose Conduit-Conduit Check. Ensure the original donor contribution is a split of this transaction.

Unlike the Form 460, the 497 does not require all of the conduit
information. All that pulls to the 497 is an automatically generated
note that states the transaction was received via a conduit.

However, doing proper data entry will ensure the same transaction pulls to the CA Form 460 with all required information.
