About the CA Form 462 Report

The CA Form 462 Report is a verification form that identifies the entity responsible for ensuring that a campaign committee’s Independent Expenditures were not coordinated with the listed candidate. The 462 Report is required to be filed within 10 days from the date of any independent expenditure that totals, in aggregate $1,000 or more in a calendar year, used to support or oppose a candidate and or measure. 

A candidate or measure is listed only once for each election. If there are any changes needed to be made, an amendment must be filed within 10 days of the change. To file, download the generated report and log in to your state account to file.
